Recessed BLACK GLASS Antique BUTTON, 1800s Intricate BELL FLOWERS Design

Description: Antique clothing button was probably produced in the 1800s. The button is made of black glass, with an intricate, recessed design depicting a group of bell flowers. The flowers have a flat, polished top-surface that is at the same level with the outer rim. It has a brass loop shank embedded on the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button size. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The button may have slight surface wear, and there are a few tiny dings along the outer rim -- although these are not very distracting and they do not affect the main image. There are no cracks, large chips, or other more serious flaws. It is overall in nice shape and will display quite well. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York.
