Description: Replacement for Morse/Teleflex/Dometic MV3 and MV3E throttle friction spring. The factory springs were prone to failure. If your throttle does not stay in position this spring may need replacement. Used on various boat models from late 1990s through late 2000s, from Malibu, Sanger, Mastercraft and others. -301 full-hard tempered stainless steel, 0.032” thick (factory springs were 0.025”). -Fit Morse/Teleflex/Dometic MV3 mechanical throttle controls and MV3E drive by wire controls. Possibly others, please verify if your throttle has this spring before purchasing.-Early throttles had one spring installed; later versions used two springs stacked together. Dealers would also update early models with two springs for warranty claims where the single spring broke. One of these will give a bit more resistance than the single factory original. Two will give quite a bit of resistance. Using one or two will be user preference, and may depend on condition of throttle cable, throttle body return spring, use of Perfect Pass, and other factors.
