The knives do have fingerprints that can be cleaned off. They have been on display in my collection for a long time and they have been touched and handled. The sheaths do show some age, not to bad but the leather straps are cracked where they stretch across the guard to snap, everything still functions and the straps are not broken, the rest of the sheaths are in very good condition. Knives are all stamped with the model number, Rostfrei Italy and they all have RIGID stamped on the blade. This is a set that took me a very long time to acquire. I picked them up one at a time as they became available to me. I now have a fairly extensive collection and it is time to start letting some go. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY GOGEOUS. The RG38 and RG39 will have boxes not mint boxes but they do have boxes. The RG37 comes without a box. You may be able to put this collection together cheaper, but it will take you years like it did me.
