Description: ROYAL COPENHAGEN 2023 Christmas Plate CHRISTMAS TIME in the FOREST is the subject of the 2023 Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate, featuring 3 sheep in a snow-covered landscape, followed by a young shepherd carrying a very small lamb. In the background is a stone age “dolmen” or portal tomb, marking the burial location of an important person, some of which date back more than 5000 years. The design was created by Allan Therkelsen (signed AT on back). The design is molded into the porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. The plate approximately 7.2 inches (18 cm) in diameter, mint condition, with original box and Certificate of Authenticity. Pierced foot for hanging wire.
