Description: This upgraded 20th Anniversary Squier “Affinity” stratocaster has a full tech set-up plays and sounds great. If you’re looking for a vintage guitar with new electronics under the hood and a nice patina with a new pickguard and backplate this may be for you. Made in China 2002. There are some dings, scuffs, and minor scratches given the age of the instrument.( refer to pics) Tech notes: Shielded body cavity with copper tape. Replaced the volume and both tone 250k potentiometers. Replaced the toggle switch. Replaced wiring and added body grounds to the copper shielding and the bridge spring claw. Replaced Black pickguard and back plate (new) The original pickups measure 4.91k, 4.85k, 4.94k (ohms). Leveled, beveled, crowned, and hand polished frets as needed. Cleaned and conditioned the fretboard with Dunlop 65 lemon oil. Added a .050 reversed shim at the neck cavity for better neck angle and to compensate the bridge saddle screw heights. Restrung with D`Addario EXL120 9-guage strings and stretched. Nut height is at .018” at the 1rst fret treble side and .020” bass side Floated the tremolo to stay in tune using the whammy bar up or down. Set the neck relief to .012 at the 7th fret and action at 4/64’ treble side 17th fret and 5/64” bass side. Adjusted pickup heights to 4/64” treble side and 5/64” bass side. Added a two-tone blue nylon strap. Body polished with Dunlop 65. Only shipping within the continental USA (Excluding the District of Columbia, Alaska, Puerto Rico,Cuba)
