Description: The Trail of the Iron Horse: A Trip Over the Continental Divide of the Rocky Mountains (By the Moffat Line). From Photographs by L. C. McClure, Denver and distributed solely by the Colorado News Company, Frank S. Thayer, Publisher, Denver. This is one of several railroad view books we recently acquired. This is the hardest to find and is different from the others in that has integrated black and white photos rather than paste-down color prints and comes from a newspaper publisher rather than a railroad. This one was published in 1905 by the Smith-Brooks Press in Denver. It is string tied, has 42 black and white photographs plus a color print paste-down on the front cover. It is in good + condition with the major flaws being a 1” tear to the edge of 1 page and some soiling on the cover. _gsrx_vers_1651 (GS 9.7.3 (1651))
