Description: A Finnish "tour" movie poster for the 1945 exploitation movie, THE WHITE GORILLA, starring Ray Corrigan. The film opened in Finland in December 1946 and had a very limited run which dates this poster to circa 1946/7. Possibly one of the worst movies ever made but its awfulness and subject matter has naturally stimulated a cult following. The rarity of authentic promotional material merely adds to this poster's desirability. You are looking at a "tour" poster printed for distribution to the small regional cinemas and other venues (e.g. clubs, village halls etc) outside of the main cities following a film's initial theatrical run. Finnish tour posters are re-sized printings of the normal A2 lobby poster, usually slightly narrower and longer with printed margins at top or bottom (sometimes both) with spacing for information about location, times, ticket prices etc. Condition: C8/9 - Very Fine/near Mint. In excellent, clean, unused condition, without folding creases. The very minor flaws with this poster are that: 1. From the right edge there are some short crease lines from which the background colour has faded 2. There are a few small white "spots" on the poster where the colour has not distributed evenly in the printing process - in other words a printing flaw and not a wear and tear issue. Otherwise, pretty flawless and a fantastic vintage movie poster, approx 75 years old. While we describe all noticeable faults in our posters for best appreciation of condition please examine the high-resolution image which accompanies the listing.
