Description: This is a beautiful solid silver & gold plated medal by the noted firm of Toye, Kenning and Spence. It dates from 1972 and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in the Valley of the Kings in 1922. 1972 was also the year that King Tut's mask and regalia toured the world and also came to London that summer. It is in its original case and bears its limited editions number and Birmingham hallmark to the edge. It weighes 51.1 grams and comes with its certificate and care instructions (shown).
