Description: Hi there I am selling a rare Royal Enfield Model 505 488cc OHV Engine. This engine was very advanced for its days. But the bad news first: The timing cover is damaged. But the rest of the engine seems to be in a remarkably good condition. It turns over fine. No damage to the cases or to the cast iron parts as far as I can see. Neither did I open the engine nor did I clean it or inspect it for hours. But experience tells me that this lump comes in a better condition than most of the stuff you find nowadays. Just have a look at the cams - the teeth have absolutely no wear... It was used as a stationary engine and did not spend much time in a motorcycle frame. Worldwide shipping is possible - I might have to make two parcels though. My way of wrapping up fragile parts is super safe: I put the items in a plastic Bag and fill the rest up with construction foam. Please don't ask questions regarding shipping cost.
