Description: With a serial number 78436, this drum was built in the early 1960s. The Pioneer is a simple and lightweight drum with a lot of character. The 3-ply mahogany and poplar shell with rounded bearing edges gives a warm and resonant tone. This drum performs well in all tuning ranges, though the 6-lug configuration lends itself well to lower and medium tuning ranges. This drum came from Granite School District surplus sale--likely spending its life at Western Hills Elementary School in Kearns, Utah. I've completely disassembled it, cleaned it, and put it back together so it's ready for you to enjoy! CONDITION NOTES- Excellent shell; light serial number stamps near badge which you could likely remove with alcohol and a rag, shell exterior polished with lemon oil- Excellent hardware; all original except for one tension rod and one strainer mounting screw, greased tension rods, lubricated strainer, nickel hardware- Very good heads and snares; original snares, new snare cable, Remo Ambassador coated batter head, Remo Ambassador snare-side head I'll ship anywhere in the world at your expense.
