The bulb works, but it does flicker and gets really hot. The lamp works, but the oil is merky and it makes it difficult to see the lava moving. The cord needs to be replaced. I don’t know if the flickering issue is because of the bulb’s age or because of the cord issue. The lamp does have a tilt to it. The base is made of wood and the felt on the bottom is deteriorating.
