Description: EAU CLAIRE - WISCONSIN Vintage Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon – Early 1900s Hand Engraved Very old, very interesting Sterling Silver collector / souvenir spoon from Eau Claire, Wisconsin featuring wonderful engraving and detail. This piece dates to the early 1900s, measures 5.75” long, and weighs 19 grams. It is in exceptional condition, tarnished, with all details sharp with little to no wear from handling or previous cleaning. The reverse is marked “Sterling” with a manufacturer’s hallmark that I am not familiar with. The handle’s top features a floral design detailing both the front and back image of a blooming flower. The stem, with large leaves, descends along the handle towards the bowl. There are several notched out areas offering depth and perspective to this beautiful piece. The spoon’s bowl is dedicated to a large hand-engraved scrolled “Eau Claire Wis.” There is no additional detail on the bowl’s reverse. This is one of several spoons I acquired from this era – all in wonderful condition. Again, it is dark due to tarnishing (I have not attempted to clean or polish it) but all detail is evident and sharp. A very nice piece.
