Description: This vintage Fenton milk glass basket is a unique addition to any collection. It was made during the 1970's in West Virginia, USA. Handmade with care, this limited edition basket features a perfectly crimped edge and is signed on the bottom by the artist, Linda Bules. The basket measures 6 3/4" tall at the top of the handle, is 6 1/2" long and 5 1/2" wide. The round base is 2 3/8" in diameter. There is a beautiful red Cardinal sitting on pine branches with pine cones hand painted on both sides of the basket. It has an embossed backstamp on the bottom with the Fenton name within an oval dating the piece to 1970 and after. The use of the artist's first full name, rather than initial, and last name indicate it was made in the 1970's. The imprint used to attach the handle to the basket bottom is unique to basket handler artist, Ron Bayles. It is best to hand wash only to preserve the painted image. The basket is in pristine, undamaged condition. It is perfect for collectors of Fenton, birds, or Milk Glass pieces or for those who love the look of vintage art glass.
