Description: I couldn’t pass it up … when I found this cutting board at a recent estate sale, it had deep scratches and gouges, the countertop protectors were worn through exposing metal tack nails, and it was completely dry and faded. Despite these flaws it had unmistakable character that I could bring back. It has been sanded down with 80, 120, 220 grit on all sides. (I didn’t use a finer sandpaper as you can burnish the wood and it would take oil evenly), replaced the countertop protectors/levelers, and gave it a coating of food grade butcher block oil. It is ready for use in its new kitchen, but would not recommend full immersion washing and would need to be coated with butcher block oil if it fades/dries out. The cutting board is 11 inches long, by 7 inches wide and 1.5 inches thick not including levelers. Knife not included it was just used as a scale reference.
