Description: Vintage Men's Westclox Quartzmatic 32,768 Hz Watch with Original Box. Not currently working as we do not have the proper tool or battery to change it. The LED type face has some discolor. We can not guarantee it will work and we are listing it for parts or repair. See my 7 photos. The original ad for this watch reads "The heart of this new Quartzmatic beats 32,768 times a second to bring you a whole new dimension in timekeeping accuracy".The watch has a squarish cushion case in gold tone with and plain rectangular hour markers it looked almost exactly like a Seth Thomas and the movement operates at 32,768 oscillations per second. Westclox was a division of General Time which was a Talley industries company. I found General Time made watches under the Westclox and Seth Thomas brands ,therefore this watch was manufactured along with Seth Thomas watches and this would account for the similarity in style and movement.
