This is a really unique frame because of the handpainted mat. It's painted on a beige and gold type of construction paper and is so very pretty and sweet. It's always been one of my favorites. I purchased it in a little on the Illinois River...my hometown. The lady next door had a huge garage sale and although I was only about 8 years old, my grandmother gave me five dollars and told me to have fun. I bought a box full of frames like this one and was so proud of them when I got home. But all Grandma could say was, "But you don't have any pictures to put in them." That year for Christmas, they gave me a camera so I could fill my photo frames. And fill them I did. Oh what fun that was. I'm getting goose bumps sitting here thinking about that year.
