Description: ⚜️WHODAT?! ⚜️ My dedicated assistant/cohort Boudreaux has finally come through on this one! He just might get ‘officially’ hired….MIGHT, Boudreaux…your discovery, your narrative—and go: Hey y’all everyone, my name is Boudreaux an I’m proud to bring you somethin that my dear friend and partner can’t!! 🙌😁 Somethin hotter than dat Bourbon St in August, an’ better than any muffaleta in da city!! An rare??! Oh chere, this is the perfect DOME-topper, and I’m talking SUPERDOME! Dis here plate was made by Wilton Armetale in 1974. How many were made? No clue, but only one other example I find, right here on eBay! But they got dat nice shiny plate in a purty bag blah blah. I see dat nice shiny plate and think “Boudreaux, dat would be a good plate for a crawfish boil!” Yeah, if I wanna eat crawfish! But it’s almost whoop-dat-ass-season an da boys in Black & Gold are itching to bust loose and win dat Super Bowl again! They don’ need some prissy plate back up, they want one dat has taken dem hits and keeps on comin’—like mine! It has class and dat dere char-ac-tor! It’s 12” in diameter and weighs in at 2 pounds and 2 ounces and it’s HONGRY for action!! Okay, Boudreaux, that’s enough pontificating. I wish you luck!! (We made a friendly wager; if it sells, he gets to rename the store. If not…he’s on probation. AGAIN. Hey hey y’all, don’ forget —shipping is faster than a hooked catfish and dat price is FREE! Only Boudreaux got dem deals!! ⚜️Laissez les bon temps rouler!! ⚜️ UPDATE: I needed to verify Boudreaux’s story, so I reached out to an individual who worked for Wilton, and this is an excerpt from an email from that individual: “…..My understanding is that the Mt. Joy, PA factory was closed long ago. The once-family-owned company was sold to a conglomerate, Lifetime Brands, which bought up a lot of small tableware companies, and production moved overseas. Though you can still buy the product, I doubt you will find anyone with any historical memory. You can find information on line about he aluminum alloy material itself…” So, the number of copies known to exist is truly unknown and likely will never be known, barring the miraculous discovery of production records. My guess would be a dozen or so were made as prototypes/salesman samples and were then given to VIPs. How one ended up in NC is anyone’s guess, but there was an influx of Saints’ players/coaching staff to the Charlotte area once the Carolina Panthers were founded…..🤔
