Description: Condition: Excellent This is an excellent condition vintage MayBell Queen made by Slingerland with beautiful and rare Birdseye maple. This particular 19 frets model was introduced in August 1927. Slingerland stopped making these sometimes after Feb 1928 due to the introduction of the “New” MayBell Queen with the pearloid peghead. So I would probably date this around 1927-1928. Slingerland banjos sound amazing, and this one is no exception. I’ve attached a video of me playing this a few months back. My playing is very basic, but you can hear the beautiful sound of this banjo. Frets are in good condition with action set at approx 0.075" at the 12th fret. Please message with any questions.
