Description: Weyless SP Bike Frame! Weyless was an Oregon based brand with manufacturing done by Kinesis (same company that manufactured some Santa Cruz models, Jamis and others) in Taiwan. US Distribution was through Supergo stores. I got this frame from a friend (for size reference he's probably around 5'10", 165-ish pounds) Fairly certain this is early to mid 2000's and would've been built out with Shimano XT Components. I've examined the frame and looks to be pretty good! the paint is pretty nice, and no cracks or dents! This can be built out with Disc Brakes or V-Brakes, a Top Pull Front Derailleur with a 31.8mm clamp. 1-1/8 inch threadless (the headset on there is incomplete, but I can look through my parts to see what we can do), 27.2 seat post size. Did some digging in those 20-year-old mtb forums and user reviews to try and learn more about this one... The SP frame got some pretty good reviews overall! some of the strengths mentioned it being fast, light, stiff, and on par with some of the other big brands but at a way more affordable price. some of the weaknesses mentioned lateral flex and some reports of cracked frames for heavier riders. Frame measurements are included in the pictures. If you need more info or need me to investigate anything further just let me know! Shipping is currently set up as calculated cost with UPS. If that seems high let me know your Zip and will do a bike flights quote and can adjust the shipping cost if needed. message me if you have any questions, Thanks for looking! *Description Update 8/25/24* I realize the specs on what rear shock is an important piece of info for this. I cannot find online anything from the manufacturer. but I measured eye-to-eye on the rear shock mount and it looks like the distance when fully open is 165mm, and when fully compressed it is 125mm. I believe that 165mm was a common size for rear shocks so it would make sense to me that a 165mm rear shock is needed here. But I am not 100% sure. I believe some Santa Cruz Bikes in the early 2000's were exactly the same frame as this one, but I don't know precisely which model, otherwise i would post the specs from that frame. I think we can figure that out though, if you're more familiar with full suspension bikes from that time. Send me a message and I can send you better pics of the rear shock and happy to work with you to figure out what would be needed for this.
