Description: Zenith Trans-OceanicShort-Wave Radio Model: A600 This radio is in good overall physical condition for the age, but once I turned it on and starting pushing buttonsand turning knobs, I realized I didn't know what I was doing. It powers on as it should and after testing thingsfor a while it was found that all the function buttons on the bottom, and the volume and tuning knobs workproperly. The only thing found that needs to be repaired is the string for the tuning knob. It changesstations, but the bar does not move as the string is broken. The band buttons on the right seemedto function properly as I was able to listen to some Spanish music, a French sports caster andsomeone with what sounded like a German accent talking. There is a little of the normalcrackle when the volume knob and band buttons are used due to the potentiometers thathave not been addressed. It is not bad as some I have come across, but it is present.The antenna is in good shape and appears to work as it should since it was bringingin stations. The power cord is good, but the rewind reel works sporadically. Theinterior looks OK, with no major corrosion or other signs of deterioration to befound, and it is relatively clean. The outside of the unit shows some weararound the edges. There is nothing that stands out beyond that. Thescreen is crack free, knobs are present and good, handle is good,and the booklet on the top looks fine.
