Description: Vintage 1970’s alloy metal double cherubim table lamp produced by Cornell Metal Specialties Corporation (Mould #9). Hence maker’s mark Cornell M.S. #9. See photos. Preowned. Made in the US. This mould (among 7 others) was the subject of copyright infringement litigation which Cornell lost in 1972. Cornell was ordered to cease casting and selling the double cherubim. The original design and casting dates back to 1964 from a different company. Cornell and other metal specialty companies purchased the moulds and began selling them. Consequently, the double cherubim casting may date back to the mid-to-late 1960’s. This is a very nice alloy casting previously converted to a table lamp. Sold with its current shade. No damage to report. Impressive. Measures 5 1/2” Tall w/o Shade; 12” Tall w/Shade. 3 1/2” Wide X 3”Long. Weighs 1 lb 3.7 ounces.
