Wallace, of course, is oblivious to all of this, going about his work with his merry asides and gleeful naivety. Its quite a recipe, and makes for a very entertaining half hour. While A Matter Of Loaf and Death isnt quite up to the highs of the pairs adventures to date, it nonetheless finds Wallace & Gromit, and Aardman Animations, in very strong form. The level of attention and detail here is quite astounding, and the script is as packed with wry gags for the older viewers as it is with material for the youngsters. In fact, if you cut it down the middle, the words family entertainment would be found running right through the middle of it.
